Privacy notice
Your details stay with us.
This notice covers this website and the “Let’s have a chat” form. The notice for the Opblox app, and for children’s information, will come with the app.
Who we are
Opblox is run by two parents, Waleed and Atiya. The data controller is [Data controller: owner to confirm]. You can reach us at [Contact email: owner to confirm].
What the chat form collects, and why
- Your name and email, so we can reply to you.
- Your message, if you write one.
- How you heard about us, if you tell us. This helps us see what works.
- Whether you ticked the reply box, and whether you asked to be kept posted.
Your message is emailed to the owners so we can answer it. Please don’t include your children’s names or any details that identify them. We don’t ask for them.
We don’t store your IP address, browser details or the page you came from. This site has no analytics, no advertising and no trackers.
Our reasons for using it
- To reply to you: you asked us to, so this is our legitimate interest in answering you.
- To keep you posted: only if you ticked the box. That is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. We don’t send updates yet, and any we send will have an unsubscribe link.
Where it is kept, and who else sees it
Your details are kept on our own server. We never sell them. We pass them only to the service that sends our emails (Resend), and error reports go to a monitoring service (Sentry) with your name, email and message removed first. We will update this list if it changes.
How long we keep it
Up to 12 months after we last heard from you, and then it is deleted. Messages we mark as spam are deleted after 30 days. We delete sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent. Write to [Contact email: owner to confirm]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
